Description
こんにちは!
My name is Jeff Light and I am seeking a position with a company in Japan where I can use my skills to help students understand and speak English as native speakers do. I have already taught in Korea, first as an associate in a larger corporation, and later as the sole foreign teacher in charge of a smaller private academy. My teaching approach favors a variety of methods, using physical activities, listening and speaking practice, and multiple memorization techniques to bring grammar and vocabulary abilities up to a conversational level. I enjoy working within the structure of established companies, but I've also become quite skilled at making custom lessons to suit the needs of individual groups or students.
Japan will be a wonderful experience for me, as I've been looking forward to traveling there since I was a child. I am already very familiar with many aspects of Japanese culture, and have visited there once before in 2007. I've traveled throughout much of Asia, and people always comment on how friendly and outgoing I am, as I make an effort to be very outgoing and easy to understand so that I can get the best experience out of the people I'm with. I will bring the same friendliness, skill, and hardworking attitude to my new position in Japan. I look forward to meeting you and working together.
Sincerely,
Jeff Light
